Act every day to preserve forests

Forêts

In order to meet our food needs and support our lifestyles, France must import agricultural and forestry raw materials which were grown outside our borders. Seven of these imported materials (soy, palm oil, cocoa, beef, paper pulp, wood and rubber) alone account for nearly 15 million hectares of cultivated land, and more than one-third of them are located in countries with a high risk of deforestation. The demand linked to our consumption patterns is pushing farmers outside our borders and can lead to deforestation. But it doesn't have to be that way ! We can all take action in our daily lives. Acting for the forests means being more aware of what we are buying, as well as consuming less and better by choosing production methods that do not lead to deforestation.
