Colombia: a project that reveals the connection between environmental and social issues

Located in the Andean Cordillera, this project of silvopastoralism and forest restoration is managed by Impulso Verde, with the financial support of Reforest’Action. Several months after the launch of this project aimed at restoring the mountain ecosystems of the department of Nariño, it is now clear that the actions undertaken have environmental as well as socio-economic impacts.

European Commission: towards the implementation of a certification for the carbon absorbed by forests

On December 15, the European Commission published a Communication on sustainable carbon cycles, which aims to encourage carbon removals in the EU, through carbon farming, which promotes practices such as afforestation or agroforestry, or industrial solutions. It also prepares the upcoming publication of a carbon sequestration certification framework, announced for 2022.

Morning of citizen dialogue and participatory planting with European Commission in France

On Saturday, November 27, a participatory planting and citizen dialogue was held at the Courances estate (Île-de-France). This event, organized by the Representation in France of the European Commission and Reforest'Action in the framework of the Conference on the Future of Europe, gathered about thirty participants of all ages, full of enthusiasm and willing to act for the forests.
