A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
Reforest'Action is a socially responsible company, founded in 2010 by Stéphane Hallaire, with the aim to protect the environment and fight against deforestation. We want to allow everyone to offset their CO2 emissions and have a positive impact on the environment by planting trees.
We envisioned a unique model of crowdplanting: you plant your forests on our digital platform, and we commit ourselves to grow them on the ground and giving you news of your trees through our newsweekly. Together we thus create a healthier and more sustainable world, a better world.
RESTORE, DEVELOP, SENSITIZE
Our projects of reforestation in France and in the world have a double objective: restore degraded forests and contribute to the socioeconomic development of the people through the trees. Responding to the objectives enshrined in our Charter, they take different forms in different areas:
- assisted natural regeneration.
These initiatives are conducted locally by private partners (social enterprises, NGOs ...) in connection with public bodies (municipalities, regional councils, academies ...). Trees planted on the ground are followed over time by foresters and agricultural engineers. Reforest'Action also raises awareness of the preservation of forest biodiversity, in particular during species observation missions organized alongside plantation operations.
Internationally, the social dimension of projects is particularly marked: the timber and non-timber from trees (wood, fruits, seeds ...) provide additional income to the people who own the land on which the trees are planted. Activities of education for sustainable development in schools are also organized throughout the year.
