Project description
Your trees will be planted in the heart of the Thoiry zoological park in order to rebuild and extend the wooded area of the park.
The zoological park covers 150 of the 380 hectares of the estate. It hosts about 750 animals belonging to about 46 species of mammals, 26 species of birds and 9 species of reptiles. It also features amphibians and invertebrates. It has a safari section, which can be visited by car, a more traditional pedestrian section and a botanical park of 126 hectares which has several themed gardens: autumn gardens, perfume gardens, English gardens, a labyrinth, a rose garden and an inverted French parterre designed by Claude Desgots.
The recurrent planting carried out in the Thoiry park supports natural regeneration and restores stands that have been badly affected by various storms, including Lothar in 1999.
