Context

Not far from the coast, in the department of Seine-Maritime, a number of abandoned agricultural plots were reforested. Impoverished by years of farming, they needed to be revitalised.

A variety of species was planted on the spot, an approach that makes the forest more resistant to external hazards and encourages the development of a rich biodiversity. In the long term, the environmental benefits of this forest will be numerous: it will help fight against erosion and water retention and store carbon. In addition, it will contribute to the extension of the forest cover in the area, thus bringing landscape benefits to the local population.
