Context and benefits

Ash chalarosis, which appeared in Poland in the 1990s, is a fungal disease that gradually leads to the death of the tree. If this species was very well adapted to the soil of these plots, the disease affected them all and the dying trees had to be cut down. Now, it is necessary to reforest in order to revive the ecosystem.

This tree planting project will restore a degraded ecosystem, strengthen the reception of biodiversity, and make the stand more stable, with a diversity of hardwood species. Indeed, the oaks will be accompanied by maples and wild pears. The project also helps to fight global warming.
