Résumé du projet
This project is located in Isère department, in the city of Crets-en-Belledonne. This old spruce monoculture has been greatly weakened by its monospecific management - which facilitates the spread of diseases and insect pests. The composition of this population favoured the invasion of bark beetles which it was a victim of. Unfortunately, the population doesn't show any sign of regeneration since, which threatens the future of the forest. From now on, 2 100 trees are planted, which diversifies the population. Thanks to the variety of species, the forest will be more resilient against natural hazards and climate change. This process will help enrich biodiversity. Besides, the trees planted will store carbon, which will help fight climate change.Principales essences :
Acer pseudoplatanus, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Larix decidua
