Résumé du projet
Located in the Portuguese town of Cardigos, this project aims to reforest a previous resinous monoculture damaged by fire in 2015.
By planting 15,537 trees of different species, both deciduous and resinous, the owner would like to reconstitute a tree legacy that is more resistant to hazards.
Eventually, the reconstituted forest will provide shelter for local biodiversity and help improve the structure and fertility of the surrounding agricultural soil. The planted trees will absorb carbon and help with the fight against climate change. Lastly, they will ensure forest continuity and will contribute to the creation of a forest heritage.Principales essences :
Pinus pinaster, Quercus suber, Quercus pyrenaica
