Résumé du projet
Located in the Seine et Marne department, this plot was planted not long after the storms of 1999, the ash trees of this population were decimated by the ash dieback fungus. This disease, caused by a fungus, strikes in Europe since the early 21st century and hasn't spared this plot in Chevry-Cossigny. The project aims at re-establishing a healthy and diversified population thanks to the insertion of 15 000 deciduous trees. That way, the trees planted will make the population more resistant to biotic hazards, and bring up biodiversity. In the long run, the process will make it possible to produce quality wood and will also be a part of the continuity of forest nearby. The trees planted will favour carbon dioxide storage, which is key in the fight against climate change.Principales essences :
