Close to the Château de Launay, this former poplar bed has been completed with a robinia plantation. Often invasive, this species is not always the best one to plant, as its development is often to the detriment of other species. As this plantation has now failed, it is necessary to restore this stand. The 7,300 trees planted as a mixture are helping to restore this forest ecosystem. This will make the stand more resistant and better adapted to climatic and biological conditions. As part of the extension of the 400-hectare forest cover, this mixture will enhance biodiversity. In addition, the restoration of this forest ecosystem will help to store carbon, thereby contributing to the fight against climate change.
