In Sornac, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, this project is located in the heart of the Millevaches nature park, on a plateau at an altitude of over 750m. The plots in question were felled by previous owners before being reclaimed by the new owner as bare soil, more or less overgrown. Following a clean-up operation, the plots are now being used for ecosystem restoration. Species such as Douglas fir, larch and birch are introduced in patches to maintain species diversity in the area. The project will maintain a continuous forest cover, helping to reconstitute and preserve the soil. The trees planted will contribute to the formation of a forest heritage. Ultimately, the stand will help fight global warming by storing carbon.Principales essences :
