Résumé du projet
These plots are located in the Moselle forest of Lue, covering a total area of 8.7 hectares. A few years ago, spruces were planted. Poorly adapted to the soil, they were weak and suffered all the more from the 2017 drought. Finally, like many spruces in this Grand Est region, they didn't survive an attack by bark beetles. This project to plant 15,000 trees will restore a true forest ecosystem. The planting of species adapted to the soil and climate will recreate habitats for biodiversity. In the long term, the planting of diverse species will help to increase the future forest's resilience to climatic hazards. What's more, timber production will store carbon over the long term. Finally, the trees planted will also ensure forest continuity in the area, playing a full part in the creation of a resilient forest heritage.Principales essences :
