Résumé du projet
In the heart of Alsace, part of the Sélestat municipal forest forms the "wet heart" of the Ill river floodplain. This special situation gives it a forest vegetation characteristic of wetlands. The forest has been severely affected by a fungal disease known as chalarosis. The fungus is responsible for the decline of specimens, leading to the death of the affected individual. In order to anticipate and counteract the consequences of ash dieback, a new strategy has been adopted to reforest this declining massif. This involves, for example, giving preference to species other than ash (pedunculate oak, maple, black alder, etc.) during stand renewal operations, with priority given to restoring the "gaps" created. The proposed reforestation will enable the stand to be restored. As for the various deciduous species, they will host a wide range of biodiversity.Principales essences :
Quercus robur, Acer platanoides, Juglans regia, Carpinus betulus
