Résumé du projet
This project is located in the Bas-Rhin department. The spruce trees in this forest plot have been attacked by bark beetles. The affected spruces in the forest had to be felled in fall 2019. The larches and birches, on the other hand, were preserved. As the plot is very steep, a replanting project is necessary to preserve the soil and the landscape interest of the site. The project aims to restore the degraded ecosystem by maintaining the existing natural species (larch and birch) and introducing Atlas cedars. This diversification of species, adapted to the site, will increase the massif's resistance to pests and climatic hazards such as droughts, which are becoming longer and more frequent in the region. It will also encourage the development of biodiversity on the site, essential for the development and protection of ecosystems.
