Located to the south of the Normandie-Maine Regional Nature Park, these two former agricultural plots are the subject of an afforestation project. The owner, wishing to bring a new dynamic to these plots, has decided to plant oak as well as black alder and white willow in the wetter areas of both parcels. These deciduous species will host a wide range of biodiversity: fauna, local flora and fungi. This afforestation project will create a forest ecosystem in a predominantly agricultural landscape. The planting of trees will help improve the soil and regulate water resources. In the long term, the afforestation will act as a major carbon sink in this agricultural network. Lastly, the trees will also ensure forest continuity in the area.Principales essences :
