Résumé du projet
Located in the Livradois-Forez regional nature park in the Puy de Dôme department, this abandoned forest has been subject to sanitary logging by the previous owner. Reforestation is necessary to rehabilitate the landscape, rebuild the forest cover and ensure a biodiversity-friendly environment. The planting project involves the introduction of 4,800 coniferous and deciduous trees from 6 different species. Eventually, the soil will be enriched by the presence of these new trees. The trees will reduce soil erosion, promote biodiversity and enhance the landscape. Last but not least, appropriate management of this future stand will help combat climate change by storing carbon.
