Résumé du projet
The soil in this Seine-et-Marne massif is impoverished, making it difficult for the stand to diversify. The owner decided to carry out a plantation, which unfortunately failed. Despite this, natural oak regeneration is present. This is an opportunity for the owner to make the most of this regeneration without reinvesting too much. Today, 20,250 trees are being helped. To achieve this, work is carried out to encourage oak growth. Clearing and depressurization protect the plants from competition, while maintaining diversity. In addition, birch and poplar trees are planted. By diversifying the species, the forest will become more resistant to hazards. Restoring the forest will also promote carbon storage, helping to combat climate change.
