Résumé du projet
This former meadow in Calvados will now be home to a garden-forest including bocage hedges. Today, 2,000 trees of various species are being introduced to give life to this garden-forest. In addition to the bocage hedges, a wide range of tree species has been selected to encourage the return of a rich and varied biodiversity to the area. The garden-forest will eventually produce nuts, fruit, seeds, flowers and honey, which can then be marketed. Participatory workshops and workcamps are also organized on site to raise public awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and biodiversity. The reconstitution of this forest ecosystem will enable carbon to be stored, thereby helping to combat global warming.Principales essences :
Mespilus germanica, Corylus avellana, Prunus spinosa, Musa x paradisiaca, Pyrus communis, Prunus domestica, Malus communis, Alnus acuminata, Ulmus minor, Fraxinus excelsior
