Résumé du projet
The project is rooted in Germany, in the rural area of the High Ardennes. Spread over several German communities, including Dackscheid, Sevenig, Daleiden and Brandscheid, the plots concerned were exclusively planted with spruce. Unfortunately, this type of practice makes the stands more vulnerable to climatic hazards or insect attacks. Spruce stands have been decimated by bark beetles. Thanks to the introduction of 8,500 trees, the enriched stands will host a rich biodiversity. The diversity of tree species will make the stands more resistant to biological attack and encourage biodiversity. Restored, the forest will continue to provide ecosystem services and help combat global warming by storing carbon.Principales essences :
Pseudotsuga menziesii, Larix decidua, Fagus sylvatica, Acer pseudoplatanus
