Résumé du projet
In the heart of the Landes de Gascogne, of which the wooded landscape is dominated by the maritime pine, this population had to face the Klaus storm in 2009. Damaged, the forest was then abandoned by the previous landowners because of the amount of work and the lack of financial support. The current landowners have decided to restore it. Today, 20 947 trees reconstitute the forest. By diversifying its species, the population will be more resilient against natural hazards. This process will also favour the development of a rich and varied biodiversity. Besides, the restoration of this forest will allow for carbon storage, which will help fight climate change. Finally, the trees planted will ensure forest continuity in the area.Principales essences :
