Ce projet se situe dans le PNR du Haut-Jura, en bordure de la réserve naturelle de la haute chaîne du Jura. Cette forêt a été touchée par la tempête de 2017, puis progressivement attaquée par les scolytes. À près de 1000m d'altitude, ces parcelles s’intègrent dans des paysages montagnards. En vue du changement climatique, la démarche s’appuie sur l’introduction de douglas accompagnés de bouleaux. La densité de plantation est volontairement basse : dans un objectif de diversification du peuplement futur, une régénération naturelle significative est valorisée. Le cortège d’essences diversifié participera au renforcement du peuplement face aux aléas climatiques et restaurera cette forêt fortement fréquentée à fort enjeu paysager. Les arbres stockeront du carbone, contribuant ainsi à la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique.

This project is located in the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, on the edge of the Haute chaîne du Jura nature reserve. This forest was hit by the storm of 2017, then progressively attacked by bark beetles. At an altitude of almost 1,000m, these plots are part of a mountain landscape. In view of climate change, the approach is based on the introduction of Douglas fir accompanied by birch. The planting density is deliberately low: in order to diversify the future stand, significant natural regeneration is encouraged. The diversified tree species will help strengthen the stand in the face of climatic hazards and restore this highly frequented forest with its strong landscape value. The trees will store carbon, helping to combat global warming.
