Résumé du projet
The community of towns of the Veyle has decided to plant hedgerows on its territory near Mâcon, in order to develop ecological corridors. The project will enhance the value of this sparsely wooded area, located close to a freeway, by extending the green network through meadows dedicated to livestock farming. Today, 4,100 trees will make up a diversified stand that will be more resilient to external hazards, while improving the local landscape. This approach will also encourage the development of a rich and varied biodiversity. What's more, the root systems of the planted trees will protect the soil from erosion and leaching. In addition, the trees planted will store carbon, helping to combat climate change.
