Résumé du projet
The project is located to the west of the Chartreuse massif, at an altitude of 500m, in the heart of Isère (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes). After repeated attacks by bark beetles prompted the owners to carry out a sanitary cut, the area had to be reforested. Thanks to the introduction of a panel of 4 diversified and randomly mixed species, this forest in the making meets 4 major challenges. As a refuge for numerous species of flora and fauna, the forest cover provides an environmental benefit for biodiversity. It will also be a place for walkers and hikers to enjoy a leisurely stroll, and will provide significant social added value. Sustainably managed trees will produce quality wood, a long-term economic resource that also helps to reduce global warming thanks to the carbon they store.
