Résumé du projet
In the Cévennes National Park, the Mende state forest is home to these 7.20 hectares of reforested plots. Located in the heart of the Lozère department, the forest is increasingly suffering from drought due to climate change. This reforestation is now a necessity. By planting Salzmann pines and Atlas cedars, the stand will be enriched. Specifically selected for their resistance to the local climate, these native species will help the forest to better withstand climate change. This diversification will also contribute to the conservation and development of local biodiversity. By storing carbon, the trees will also help combat global warming. What's more, the trees planted will also ensure forest continuity in the area, playing a full part in the creation of a resilient forest heritage.
