Dans la forêt domaniale des Gorges du Tarn, au sein du département de la Lozère, cette parcelle forestière reboisée s’étend sur 2,80 hectares. De plus en plus victime de la sécheresse, la forêt doit aujourd’hui s’adapter au changement climatique. Dans ce cadre, des plants de pin Salzmann sont introduits aux côtés des pins noir d’Autriche et autres jeunes pousses naturelles de feuillus déjà présents au sein du peuplement. Cette essence autochtone, adaptée aux conditions de la station, permettra à la forêt de mieux résister aux aléas biologiques et climatiques. La diversité d’essences au sein du peuplement favorisera la conservation et le développement de la biodiversité au sein de la parcelle. Sur la durée, le massif restauré stockera du carbone, participant ainsi à la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique. Enfin, les arbres plantés assureront également une continuité forestière sur la zone et participeront pleinement à la formation d’un patrimoine forestier résilient.

In the Gorges du Tarn state forest in the Lozère department, this reforested plot covers 2.80 hectares. Increasingly affected by drought, the forest must now adapt to climate change. In this context, Salzmann pine seedlings have been introduced alongside Austrian black pines and other natural deciduous saplings already present in the stand. This native species, adapted to the site conditions, will enable the forest to better resist biological and climatic hazards. The diversity of species within the stand will encourage the conservation and development of biodiversity within the plot. Over time, the restored forest will store carbon, helping to combat global warming. Finally, the trees planted will also ensure forest continuity in the area, playing a full part in the creation of a resilient forest heritage.
