Résumé du projet
This 7.50-hectare plot of forest in the Escandorgue state forest in the Hérault department is now home to the project's 14,100 trees. Located close to the Haut-Languedoc Regional Nature Park, it is part of a level 2 Natural Area of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest. Unfortunately, storm Klaus hit the forest in 2009, devastating a large part of the stand, which until now had shown no signs of natural regeneration. This reforestation will provide an opportunity to diversify the tree species to make the forest more resilient. By varying its composition, the stand will be able to accommodate greater biodiversity. Carbon capture will also be another of the project's assets, enabling the forest to contribute to the fight against global warming. Ultimately, the trees planted will ensure forest continuity in the area and contribute to the creation of a resilient forest heritage.Principales essences :
