À l’ouest du Morbihan, ces 2 anciennes parcelles agricoles s’étendent sur 3,27 hectares. Aujourd’hui délaissées, leurs sols ont été considérablement affaiblis par des années d’exploitation agricole. Aussi, ce boisement sera particulièrement utile pour restaurer les différents écosystèmes et donner vie à un massif forestier au sein de cette région faiblement boisée. Au cours du projet de plantation, des nouvelles essences viennent diversifier le peuplement : des pins maritimes et des pins Taeda. Ces essences ajoutées aux quelques feuillus déjà présents sur les parcelles, favoriseront le développement d’une biodiversité résiliente et variée. En captant du carbone, les arbres plantés participeront à la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique. Enfin, les arbres plantés assureront une continuité forestière sur la zone et participeront à la formation d’un patrimoine forestier résilient.

These 2 former agricultural plots in western Morbihan cover 3.27 hectares. Now abandoned, their soils have been considerably weakened by years of farming. This afforestation will be particularly useful for restoring the various ecosystems and giving life to a forest in this sparsely wooded region. In the course of the planting project, new species will be added to diversify the stand: maritime pines and Taeda pines. These species, added to the few deciduous trees already present on the plots, will encourage the development of a resilient and varied biodiversity. By capturing carbon, the trees planted will help combat global warming. Lastly, the trees planted will ensure forest continuity in the area and contribute to the creation of a resilient forest heritage.
