Résumé du projet
This reforested agricultural wasteland is located in the Regional Nature Park of the Cotentin and Bessin marshes (Manche). Intensive farming had greatly impoverished the land, diminishing its environmental value. Today, 21,232 trees have been planted on these abandoned plots. Thanks to a particularly diversified mix of deciduous and coniferous trees, this plantation will provide a resistant stand in the face of potential future biological and climatic hazards. This approach will encourage a rich and varied biodiversity. The stand will also store carbon, helping to combat global warming. The trees planted will store carbon, helping to combat climate change. They will also ensure forest continuity in the area, helping to create a resilient forest heritage.Principales essences :
Fagus sylvatica, Carpinus betulus, Acer pseudoplatanus, Quercus robur, Quercus petraea, Castanea sativa, Quercus palustris, Alnus cordata, Betula sp., Pinus sylvestris
Nombre total d'essences :
19
