Résumé du projet
The town of Cognac (Charente) is now home to an urban micro-forest on a former agricultural plot, thanks to the Miyawaki technique. Inspired by the Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, this method enables the rapid growth of a wild forest from degraded soil. The introduction of a variety of tree species as part of a dense plantation accelerates the growth of urban forests. These 2,800 trees include a wide variety of species. Their presence encourages the development of a rich and varied biodiversity. This approach will also encourage the presence of predators that will attack pests, whose presence threatens the surrounding vineyards. In addition to structuring the landscape, the trees planted will filter water and pollution, while storing carbon, thereby helping to combat global warming. Ultimately, the trees planted will help create a resilient wooded area.Principales essences :
Acer campestre, Acer monspessulanum, Alnus glutinosa, Viburnum opulus, Ligustrum vulgare, Carpinus betulus, Salix alba, Fraxinus excelsior, Quercus petraea, Sorbus domestica
