In the north-west of Paris, the plantation area borders the Seine. Located near a marina, this plot is surrounded by a rich vegetation and a diverse animal life with rabbits, gallinules, swans, ducks, passerine birds or coypus. The local population regularly walks there for a family stroll or to exercise. This project of creation of an urban forest is inspired by the Miyawaki method which relies on the introduction of 21 varieties recommended by the National Botanical Conservatory. An island of biodiversity and melliferous plants which will feed the beehives nearby. The plantation of 1 200 trees and the production of quality honey will reinforce social cohesion in the town. In the long run, this new lasting ecosystem will offer diverse environmental benefits like the creation of shelters for biodiversity and the mitigation of the effects of climate change.
