Résumé du projet
This project is located in the Gironde department, at Lugos, in the Landes de Gascogne forest. The plot in question had been abandoned and left fallow. The new owner wishes to enhance the value of the plot by afforesting it. Different varieties of pine are being planted to test their success on these difficult soils. These well-adapted trees will eventually produce timber. Deciduous trees are planted along the edges of the plot, and will fulfil several objectives. They will provide additional biodiversity and habitats, particularly near the stream running along one edge of the plot. They will also act as firebreaks, especially as the plot is bordered on both sides by roads.Principales essences :
Pinus pinaster, Betula verrucosa, Quercus suber, Quercus robur
Nombre total d'essences :
4
