In this GFF (Groupement Foncier Forestier - forest land group) of Roche Veyrand, clear-cutting is carried out by the former owner in view of the health risks associated with bark beetles. The other plots nearby damaged by bark beetles have been exploited. The clearcutting is authorized if a reforestation project is planned. As the previous landowner could not reforest, the GFF of Roche Veyrand committed to doing so. The reforestation is planned on a land with a slope varying from 30 to 60%. A mix of species is planned to help the plot blend in the landscape and to favour the biodiversity. The varieties chosen are suitable for altitude and sunny exposure of plots.
