Ce projet de plantation si situe dans la commune Le Haute-Breda. Les parcelles en friche se reboisent naturellement par endroit uniquement. Un reboisement complémentaire est donc nécessaire, sur les zones ou le reboisement est difficile, notamment du fait de l’impact du grand gibier. Pour autant, le propriétaire ne souhaite pas basculer dans un système de grande futaie monospécifique, mais continuer à maintenir un écosystème diversifié. Il s’agit donc avant tout d’aider la nature et non de s’y substituer. D’où le projet d’une plantation de plusieurs essences, en laissant en place les arbres déjà développés, tant les feuillus (avec des beaux bouleaux, très favorables à la création d’un humus doux) que les résineux (quelques beaux sapins blancs). De plus, des zones de friches et une petite prairie seront maintenues pour favoriser la biodiversité et offrir des habitats variés. Cette approche permettra de créer un bon équilibre entre les différentes composantes de l'écosystème forestier.

The plots are located in the Belledonne massif, in the middle of a slope. It is a former coniferous forest, mainly composed of spruces, which was left uncultivated by the previous owner.

This project is located in the commune of Haut-Breda, Isère. The uncultivated plots of land are being reforested naturally, but only in places. Additional reforestation is therefore necessary in areas where reforestation is difficult, notably due to the impact of big game. However, the owner does not wish to switch to a monospecific high forest system, but rather to continue to maintain a diversified ecosystem. The aim is to help nature, not replace it. The plantation will therefore be composed of several species, while leaving in place the trees that have already developed, both deciduous (with beautiful birch trees, highly conducive to the creation of a soft humus) and coniferous (a few beautiful white fir trees). In addition, areas of fallow land and a small meadow will be maintained to encourage biodiversity and offer a variety of habitats. This approach will create a good balance between the various components of the forest ecosystem.
