This project, located in Pradines in the Corrèze region, aims to restore a dying stand that has been attacked by bark beetles (insect pests), using species that are better adapted to climate change. The bark beetle-affected spruces will be replaced by a mixture of three coniferous species, revitalizing the forest and significantly improving its ability to host biodiversity. On a social level, local companies will carry out the forestry work, and the wood will be processed in the surrounding area. The regenerated stand will ultimately be more resistant to insect attack and other climatic hazards. In the long term, the trees will be able to contribute to the fight against global warming thanks to the carbon they store.

Situated on the Monédières massif in the Parc Naturel Régional de Millevaches, this plot is visible from the Col de Lestard and the surrounding area. Landscaping plays an important role in the project's design.
