Ce projet vise à replanter une ancienne forêt disparue avec des essences feuillues locales.
Situé dans la région de Cluj en Transylvanie et supervisé par le district forestier local et l’ONG « Beard Brother », ce projet résulte de la collaboration d'acteurs privés, publics et associatifs lui conférant une valeur symbolique.
L'objectif est de restaurer la continuité du massif forestier alentour défriché par le passé. Ce nouveau boisement assurera un rôle de « protection » du village situé en aval en prévenant les glissements de terrain et en régulant le fonctionnement hydrologique des sols.
Le paysage sera également restauré avec la plantation de deux essences feuillues adaptées au contexte local mais aussi avec l’érable sycomore autochtone lui aussi mais possédant une croissance plus rapide afin de mettre en place une logique de maintien des sols plus rapide.
D'un point de vue social, le projet rassemble les communautés locales grâce à l'organisation de plantation participatives.

In Romania, the needs are enormous. After the collapse of the USSR and the political upheavals that followed, the forest has often been overexploited and is experiencing major management problems. The project follows on from the 20,000 trees already planted last year, to cover as much of the surrounding 600 hectares as possible for reforestation.

The aim of this project is to replant an ancient forest with local hardwood species.
Located in the Cluj region of Transylvania and supervised by the local forestry district and the NGO "Beard Brother", this project is the result of the collaboration of private, public and associative players, giving it a symbolic value.
The aim is to restore the continuity of the surrounding forest, cleared in the past. The new forest will play a "protective" role for the village downstream, preventing landslides and regulating the hydrological functioning of the soil.
The landscape will also be restored with the planting of two deciduous species adapted to the local context, as well as a faster-growing native sycamore maple to help maintain the soil more quickly.
From a social point of view, the project brings local communities together by organizing participative planting.

Bobalna - Romania
