This parcel of land, located in Senones in the Vosges, is currently made up of agricultural wasteland and forest wasteland with no future. The owner wanted to create continuity with the existing surrounding forest, while at the same time adding significant diversity by planting 7 different species, including black cherry, wild cherry, lime and cedar. Once planted and restored, the forest will help combat climate change by storing atmospheric carbon. The newly planted trees will recreate areas that are home to biodiversity while improving the structure and fertility of the soil. They will also help to combat global warming by storing carbon.
