Urban forest
Located in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, the Collège François Villon, classified as a REP (priority education network), has around 500 pupils.

The 3 main benefits of this project are: improving the visual quality of the environment (currently degraded by the view of the ring road), reducing noise pollution (pupils suffer from car noise) and using the forest to raise awareness among schoolchildren of the benefits of forests.
The contractor responsible for the urban development work is an association that supports the social and professional integration of people in difficulty through green space management projects.
Part of the planting was carried out by around a hundred 6th form pupils from the school. They were also able to take part in discussion workshops to gain a better understanding of the benefits and threats to forests.
