Résumé du projet
The project is proposed by the Communauté de Commune du Pays de Pouzauges. It involves the installation of 10 hedgerows totalling 1,930 linear metres. Since 1950, hedgerows have disappeared from 70% of the bocage landscape, following the consolidation of farmland and the mechanisation of agriculture. Today, many hedgerows are still being uprooted. In this context, this project is particularly important in a particularly agricultural area. Around twenty different species of plant will be introduced into the hedges, including fruit-producing trees and shrubs. The project will act as a property boundary while providing a wind barrier. It will be home to many species of birds and small mammals looking for shelter and food.
