Résumé du projet
This project, located in Haute-Marne, has been uncultivated for more than 5 years following a clear-cut by the previous owners, who did not replant afterwards. The plot will be replanted with Douglas fir, spruce, fir and beech, as natural regeneration is having difficulty establishing itself in a high-quality way. This diversity of species will make the stand more resilient to climatic hazards. The planting will encourage biodiversity, while stabilising the soil and improving water retention. The newly planted trees will also combat climate change by storing carbon in the atmosphere.
