Ethics

Our Ethics charter

Our Ethics Charter serves our mission, namely to support the transformation towards a regenerative economy through the forest. It comprises a set of common rules for all staff members, intended to allow us to advance together in the proper direction to guarantee the company's sustainable growth, but also to accomplish our mission in the best possible way.

CSR initiative

Reforest’Action contributes to the challenges of sustainable development by supporting the transition to a regenerative economy, but also by optimizing the environmental, social, and economic advantages resulting from our activities.

Reforest’Action, B Corp certified since 2019

The B Corp label certifies that the companies concerned have attained a high level of social, societal and environmental performance in their business model and their operations. The label’s comprehensive and rigorous approach focuses on five impact areas: corporate governance, staff, community, environment, and customers. Reforest'Action scored 109.6 points for its recertification in 2024.

An EcoVadis silver medal in 2024

It includes a measure of the performance and integration of 4 core themes: Environment, Social and Human Rights, Ethics and Responsible Purchasing. In 2024, Reforest'Action achieved a score of 69 out of 100 in its assessment, and a silver medal which places us in the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis over the last 12 months.

B score to the “CDP Climate - SME” in 2024

CDP is a not-for-profit charity that runs annual global disclosure system for various stakeholders to manage their environmental impacts (Climate, Forests, Water, etc.) In 2024, Reforest'Action disclosed to the “CDP Climate - SME” questionnaire: assessing the extent to which climate change is considered within various aspects of its activities: Risks and Opportunities, Governance, Business Strategy and Environmental Performance. We achieved the highest SME score in 2024, an SME B.

Our emissions reduction target validated by the SBTi

In 2024, Reforest'Action had its 2030 greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets validated by the Science Based Target initiative. This means that our reduction targets are in line with scientific recommendations and aligned with the Paris Agreement on climate.

Carbon footprint

Reforest'Action carried out its first full carbon footprint assessment in 2021. We then put in place a plan to limit our emissions, combined with a contribution for the climate through the financing of a project to preserve a forest ecosystem in Indonesia. Since 2023, we carry out a full carbon footprint assessment every year, including scopes 1, 2 and 3 of our activities.

Contributor selection

Contributor selection committee

The Contributor selection committee is made up of 4 staff members. It is responsible for advising on the appropriateness of a collaboration between Reforest'Action and a company wishing to support our forestry or agroforestry projects, specifically when the company is operating in a sector deemed “risky” given its high GHG emissions and/or its potential contribution to deforestation. It convenes each time a complex case arises, upon the request of one of the Enterprise division’s managers or a Comex member, and considers the reputational risks and the coherence between the concerned company's project and Reforest’Action’s mission.

The members of the 2024 Committee are: Thibaud Poulain (European Forests division), and Katia Prassoloff (CSR division), Flora Calandre (Sales division) and Sabrina Giorgi (Climate Solutions division).
