Résumé du projet
Four hedgerow plantations in Moselle are part of this project. Set up by the H.A.I.E.S association, the aim of the plantations is primarily ecological, but they will also help farmers to improve the rearing conditions of their herds. To date, 5,575 trees have been planted around these plots, using a mixture of 22 species. This diversity will help to enrich local biodiversity by creating ecological corridors. Spanning several communes, this particularly varied ecosystem will create a degree of environmental continuity within the region. At the same time, the trees planted will store carbon, helping to combat climate change.

The H.A.I.E.S association manages the planting of hedges on farms, involving the general public (300 this year) as well as local school classes (10 this year). The aim of the association is to raise public awareness of the importance of hedgerows in the countryside.
