Main Square Festival is gathering each year tens of thousands people and as any major event, its environmental impact is a crucial concern. Energy, water, waste, CO2 emissions : all the issues related to sustainability are directly linked to the festival and its audience.

For this reason, the way the festival is organized is reconsidered including each year new actions aiming at lowering the festival environmental impact such as : 100% reusable and consigned cups for the drinks, biodegradable dishes in all the food stands and compost made out of the waste of the festival, waste sorting on site, access to Free tap water, no waste of furniture / decoration, no plastic Straws on the festival.
